A look toward the new year

I’ve started to set a personal agenda for 2009. Yeah yeah yeah, it’s not quite a “New Years Resolution” list, more like a project plan. I’m tending toward treating most things like a project plan now, so just bear w/ me. okies?

Health

Everyone’s favorite New Year’s Resolution. I want to take better care of myself and have more control over my various ailments (t2d, hypothyroidism, etc).

Charity

I had a very moving Christmas by forgoing any “material” gift and instead giving, what I would have spent, to a local charity. I don’t know if I should look at these as “gifts” and “donations” or as “investments”. I’ll have a post later about this, but I decided to have a pet charity in 2009, where I’m investing time and money. I know we’re in this middle of a big financial problem, but this is the time people less fortunate than we are, need help more than ever.

Work

I’m very fortunate to have a good job for a good company. I’m also very fortunate to have some upcoming projects in 2009: Chattarati, GreenInk and a few others. Chattarati has grown so much in the past months that sometimes it’s overwhelming. GreenInk…it’s another hyper-local project…more later.

2008 was such a long year, lots of projects and lots of events and still….it was all-in-all good. Realism sets in and we never know what serendipitous twists might happen. As long as I can look forward to the good and maneuver around the bad, it’s gonna be ok.
